Callum & Harper by Fisher Amelie

While reading this I couldn't decide if it was taken right out of a soap opera or some greek tragedy. I mean, Callum and Harper have such tragic pasts and when you think they've had enough, some shit happens and they are right back where they started. But no matter what happens they bravely get up again and fight. It's terribly sweet that they are able to face any kind of shit just because they have each other. But I have to admit that I was really tired by the middle of the book because their interactions seemed like eternal foreplay and it seemed like there were infinite misunderstandings, and right when they were about to have a serious conversation about their feeling someone or something always stoped them. Although there were some amazing developments that I didn't expect and I couldn't help but feel anything but pleased. Personally the book was some emotional rollercoaster and I had an all nighter just to finisht reading it, YES, IT WAS THAT AMAZING!!!
They had such amazing chemistry and I couldn't help but swoon at how protective Callum was of Harper.... ^^

So the point has come when I finally post cute japanese songs ^^
Normally japanese songs are just like background sounds to me because I don't understand shit of what they say but the rhythm of this song caught my attention somehow even if I still don't understand shit! haha

But I you want to know what the lyrics mean I just found the same song by Hatsune Miku with lyrics in english.


Well, the song is not originally from Hatsune Miku but if you know about the japanese world, you've probably heard about the vocaloid program with a computarized girl that has an ideal voice so there is a lot of fans on the internet that write their own songs and publish videos on youtube.  Kind of  cool actually...

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Yesterday I decided that instead of sleeping I wanted to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. I even distracted my sister and made her see it with me, even if she had to make a design for today.

I can't describe how amazing this movie is. The dialogue is so witty and the shots are so well taken! Now I understand why Blair Waldorf watched it ALL THE TIME!

Today I watched Wanderlust, and it paled in comparison to what I saw yesterday...

The Princesses of Iowa by M. Molly Backes

Read this book if you're tired of perfect heroines, this one keeps it real!, not in the "Oh, I'm such a normal and plain girl" way, but more in a "I can't stand this girl" kind of way. She's the popular mean girl that everyone adores but is such a bitch sometimes... so at the beginning of the book there are points where you can't stand her, but as the book goes on she kind of grows on you.

As for the way the author writes, sometimes you wonder if she just sucks at writing or maybe she decided to keep it as simple as possible. There are points where it changes from present tense to past and you just wonder, What the hell is going on?!!! but there are also moments where even if it seems badly written, it manages to suck you into the story. It deals a lot with the issue of driving drunk, so at some points it feels like a campaign against drinking and driving. But the combination of the author's way of writing and the driving drunk stuff manages to take you into a nightmare (or blurry dream) that you can't escape from even if you want to. But I liked the story, in the it was good enough... kind of way, but I guess I was a little cliché at the end, but not bad cliché if you like soapy romance.

Fatty Boom Boom

This is one of the craziest videos EVER!!!!!!!!! and it seems to be following me everywhere! The tune is really catchy but the images are so freaking disturbing! I don't recommend anyone watching it....

 

I guess they've always been weird, I knew that since a few years ago when I first saw them singing Enter The Ninja, but this is a whole different level of weirdness.

Btw, I wonder why I can write posts so easily when I can't even bullshit my way through college applications... yeah, I know! It's that time of year, and I've been victim of the so called phenomenon when parents go around harassing their children every day until they write the fucking applications!!!

but it's enough of me ranting around and procrastinating...

Possession

This morning I woke up sick as hell, probably because I stayed up really late last night and didn't eat that much.... but I'll save you all the unnecessary details. But while I waited twisting with pain while the medicine kicked in I decided to watch tv to calm down, and what I found was one of the calmest movies ever, I mean, what couldn't be more calming than one of the most boring movies ever that I had never been able to finish watching! but it turned out to be quite interesting but some parts were depressing as hell!!! but it wasn't THAT BAD.... haha... that's why I am recommending it to you! It's for when you don't have anything else to do and see, and if you kind of like historical romances.

Sukitte Ii na yo

So this is a manga I've been reading for quite some time, the art is gorgeous and the clothes the characters wear are amazing! I've read EVERY scanlated series from this mangaka, she is that amazing! <3 p="p">

And now I just started to watch the anime, actually I had seen a random image from the anime on tumblr and I desperately wanted to know from which anime it was from and now that I know it just makes sense... :D

A little spoiler: this is the moment when Mei and Yamato meet. :)    (and this is not the image I had seen on Tumblr, the next one is)

But what I've noticed is that most of the popular shoujo animes right now are about some unsocial, insecure girl that manages to land the most hot sociable guy, I guess the authors feed from common little girls that wish for the impossible guy. And let's not talk about how most of the shoujo mangas are about some cliche plot like that, but I'll admit that sometimes cliche is nice... ^^   Specially when they have nice graphics!!

I guess I was in the mood to listen to a lot of new music, and seriously the past days I have spent A LOT of time downloading music and checking a lot of new artists in YouTube. haha

One of the artist that I listened a lot of was Passenger (a British band). But the guy that sings has a HEAVENLY voice. I could fall asleep listening to his voice.... sigh... i want.... He has been touring with Ed Sheeran so it's kind of understandable.

Before Sunset

I've been having such a good record with updating lately that I decided that I should keep up with it, so before I go to sleep I'm gonna review something interesting I did today. (^_^)

So what's best that a manual on how to make cute faces!! I seriously needed something like this because sometimes I feel like I don't belong in this century (*^_^*)

Then I watched this movie called Before Sunrise and it was amaaazing!!!! I can't tell you how much I love it! and the best part is that it has a sequel!!! squeal!

I'm gonna watch it tomorrow.

And then I watched this movie called The Chorus or Les Choristes, it's in french but I don't know if it's from Belgium or France... It was about a teacher that gets a job in a school for troubled boys, he creates a choir and changes the children's lives. It's really cool and the voices are great, specially from this kid called Pierre who has a gifted voice.

And that's all from today, I'll probably wander in Tumblr or Lookbook now.

I'll probably just look at pics of hair, I want to dye my hair a different color but I'm still thinking which one...

I Knew You Were Trouble

This single surprised me, I expected Taylor's normal sound but this unexpectedly pop sounding, but not bad! I love it!!!

I just read this dystopian YA novel and after I finished it I felt strangely compelled to write a review and I was surprisingly witty and inspired, probably because I didn't write at 3 on the morning after an all nighter... haha

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Well first of all I must say that I'm glad to read a YA book that is not about vampires, wherewolves, fairies or any such thing! It was good at the beginning but now is getting annoying....
Instead this is a dystopian novel about cyborgs and people from the moon!!! Cinder, the main character, is strong, smart and determined. And the pace of the novel is good enough that it keeps you wanting to know what happens next, of course I expect many sequels after this but I'm willing to read them if they are as exciting as this one.

But of course I won't proclaim this novel as life-changing or the next big thing, because there are many things that could use improvement. First of all, this is a dystopian novel so in exchange I want to know how this universe here works, how is the new society, the freaky rules they have or the unspoken secrets they have. But instead at the beginning the author throws you unprepared and you just have to guess what is happening, so it's a little unsettling for a while... It's like the author assumed you knew everything about this new society and the problems Cinder is facing. I wanted more background story of the planet, the lunars and the rest of the characters!!!
Another problem I found is that the romance between Cinder and the prince is like an afterthought of the author so there is no emotion or spark between them that leaves you wanting more. Of course, I would be okey if there appears a love triangle later on and their feeling for each other grow in the face of obstacles in their romance. haha

But I will reserve my true opinion until the series is over, meaning if the next books aren't crap, but I will tell you that the book accomplished the goal of entretaining me for a good couple of hours!!

Hiyokoi

It seems like I slept all day, and then I just watched anime, but I felt so dirty just sitting here and eating so I started with my ballet exercises again!

I watched mainly shoujo anime like Hiyokoi, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Nagareboshi Lens, Bihada Ichizoku, and I started watching Honey and Clover.

Bihada Ichizoku is one of the funniest animes I've ever seen!!! It was so ridiculous and dramatic that I just couldn't stop laughing.... haha Apparently there are beauty products of the anime in japan, I would like to buy them but sadly I don't live there....sigh...

I just watched the first chapter of Honey and Clover but I'll watch the rest tomorrow!

Red - Taylor Swift

This is the secong single from the upcoming album from Taylor Swift also named Red. I can't tell you how excited I am about it!!!! but I can't no longer call myself a big fan because I hadn't realized that she has been releasing a single every week since the start of october. Her official single is We're Never Getting back together, her first single is Begin Again, the second is Red, the third is I Knew You Were trouble and the final one is State of Grace. Listen to it and you will understand why I love Taylor Swift so much!!! her lyrics are so amazing! I sound like such a fan girl right now! haha

Cross My Heart

It seems like the weekend didn't exist at all. My graduation ceremony was on saturday and I had the best grades, yay! I got almost all the awards but it seemed like everyone was jealous or something... it seems like they realized I'm the geek girl and didn't want to have anything to do with me... but I'm just tired of trying to determine their mood... still what hurts is that some friends turned out to be really shitty people and the people I expected the least from ended up being there for me. I'm trying to see the positive side in all of this, because after all next year I'll be in college and I'll probably never see them ever again, and I'll get a chance to reinvent myself (like I've done everytime my life sucks and I get the chance to). But what I've been wondering is that maybe is not just their fault that everyone I know ends up drifting away from me, maybe I push them away without realizing it.... maybe I need help, maybe I need somebody to teach me how to make lasting friends.... but I'm just so sad of being betrayed all the time and people just using me for their own interests. And it's not just them, I realize I'm an introvert and that it's really hard to me to make light conversation, or getting drunk, or just joke, or being the light of the party, but I hope that in college I will have the chance to meet like-minded people who get me as I am and become real friends I can rely on.

But I should stop now, I think I've shared too much of my personal life and it will get embarrassing reading this in the future...

So yesterday I slept half of the time and then I started reading this book.

And it kind of cheered me up, but reading this book also including reading the book Ethan Frome from Edith Wharton because half of the book mentions it and I soooo don't want spoilers in a book I had been hoping to read for some time now.

Choke - Chuck Palahniuk

I just started reading one of the weirdest books I've ever read, and in that list there are other books from the same author, so that says a lot!

I probably won't finish reading it because I'll get too weirded out or simply bored...

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

I'm so happy that now there is an anime of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, a manga I had been reading for some time. I was so happy that I watched the two first episodes already translated and then I made my sister read all the manga chapters, she was so caught up in them that she didn't even sleep last night haha

So right now I'm just trying to make YOU watch the anime and understand the awesomeness of it! haha

You know when I'm filling college applications and I reach the part where I have to write about my extracurricular activities my life feels so empty and unfulfilled...  has that ever happened to you?

Electra Heart

So I don't feel like writing much today... I'm about to listen to the complete new album of Marina and The Diamonds, Electra Heart, I've heard soooo many people praising it that I feel like I must listen to it. I'll tell you tomorrow what I think about it!

But meanwhile I found this great song a while ago but forgot about it, I don't understand how it happened, it's awesome!!

This is like gossip girl from the south, not that I hate it of course. The story was kind of predictable, I knew how it was going to end as soon as I started reading it, but it didn't stop me from having fun. By fun I mean laughing at the drama, cliché fights and stupid problems they had. But the main character was cool and stood up on her own when needed. What I didn't like is that I felt that some characters were not developed properly, their story was too superficial, is like I wanted to know more about them and how they felt instead of being some preppy boys and girls who only care about partying.

I have a feeling that the rest of the week is going to be really stressful. But what I've found out is that when everything is falling apart there is always some constant in my life that keeps me holding on, and right now it is school grades, I honestly hope that they pay off.... Another thing is that some people are truly hypocrites, I would expand more on that issue but I get both angry and depressed if I think about it, the good thing is that I have good things going in my life that will keep me cheered up!

Great song! I think this will be one of the best albums of the year!!!
