Ai Se Eu Te Pego

I've had this song in my head for the whole day, SERIOUSLY!!!!!! The thing is that the boys from my class were dancing this song today and it's totally addictig... haha... But senior year is really stressful and fun at the same time. And it's really funny that most people don´t know what the lyrics of this song mean and then sing it really loudly! like total fail!!! haha

Dirty Little Secrets

This is the book that I read yesterday. It's about a girl that lives alones with her mom. It sounds normal so far, but the secret is that her mom is a hoarder and this girl tries to keep it a secret from her friends so that they won't make fun of her. And her mom doesn't keep relics but trash!

The story seems a bit unreal, but I actually know people that hoard trash! It's really weird and it's specially hard on the family because they have to live in a house filled with trash. And the hoarder even eliminates the normal living spaces so they hardly have space to sleep! I kind of relate to this girl because my mom is really messy and I always have to be the grownup and clean up after her... well the book was fun because I read it really fast and didn´t require a lot of attention... haha

Somebody That I Used To Know

I guess that most of you have probably already heard this song before but it's just that lately I've had this song in my mind all the time!!! and it's just so amazing! But by being so obsessed with it, I decided to check out this video that I saw in youtube and I was gladly surprised!

This group is really awesome and every member is really skilled. In the videos I have seen of them, all of the members play a lot of instruments and they exchange instruments like it's really easy!

Cobán - Alta Verapaz

I had already told you that I went to Coban before entering school, but now I'll show you some pictures of what it was like there.

This was taken during all the hours I spent in the car. It was crazy! we went from desert to a foggy forest to mountains, and from hot to cold in just a few hours!
The first place we went to was Semuc Champey. This is a place where the Cahabon river comes out from the underground and fall in this little waterfalls that form little pools that have turquoise water. This view is taken from and observatory up in the mountain. And believe me! getting up there was the hardest thing I did during the whole journey!! The path up the mountian was just so steep and muddy! but like you can see it was worth the climb, haha.
This is the place where the water comes out of. It was really dangerous getting there (there were people checking so you wouldn't fall)  but once you got there you could see an amazing waterfall going down into darkness, scary... haha
Then down the pools I got to get in and the water was really nice. I also got to know a lot of nice people. Some people liked to jump from waterfall to waterfall! And when the pools end the river gets really rough and it's really good for rafting.
This is me and my sister down by the pools. (I'm the tall one btw, and she is my older sister! haha) By this point I had already lost my favorite black shorts that I had taken off after they got wet when I got inside one of the pools.... I'm still sad that I lost it....
This is "La Cueva de Candelaria" that we also went to. It was really big and the best thing is that just under this photo there was a river where you could go floating down with a tube and a lantern, and then you could see all this underground caves that went along the river, it was really cool!! Sadly I don't have photos of this because the camera would have gotten really wet!
Then we went to the "El Rey Marcos" caves. They were discovered in 2001, I think, and they were fully explored by guys of National Geographic. I got to wear a minning hat (that is really useful when you're hitting your head all the time with the low ceiling...) and boots to go into the underground river. It was quite an adventure because you sometimes have to crawl into a one meter tall tunnel and most of the rocks are slippery because of the water that covers them all of the time. You really have to take care to don't fall down! There is even a lagoon inside!! And you have to hop from rock to rock to cross underground rivers!
But it was amazing to see rocks that took million of years to form! The guide said that this rock looked like the tower of Piza. Do you think so?? haha

There was even a point in the tour when the guide really got into his role and asked us to turn off all the lights (which was scary!) and turned all spiritual. He even said that people traveled all the way there from everywhere to get their wishes granted and there were stories of some miracles.... haha but the guide was really funny!

And this is the river that got out from the mountains. Amazing isn't it?

Music Update

I already started school... yawn.... now I have to get up early every morning... But the vacation I went to was really fun and I did a lot of exciting stuff! I'll tell you all about it later. Right now I'm gonna give you a little music update of music I like right now, most of it are songs that I listened over and ooooover again while we were traveling, haha! So it's gonna be a quick music update before I go to sleep because I'm really tired right now.

Wow... it turned out quite long... but I just like so much music right now!! haha

Welcome 2012!!!!

I expect this year to be very tiring but exciting. There will a lot of things going out with my life and I'll have to decide on a career for university... It's been hard to find time to blog and even read manga with a lot of people visiting for new year. If I was able to get some free time, I used it to read Hikaru no Go. It was soooo exciting! I enjoyed every chapter like you can't imagine, I guess it's no surprise that Obata Takeshi (the author of Death Note and Bakuman) it's the author. He makes every simple and meaningless plot worth reading.... he's amazing!

One of the most fun things lately is that I've been spending a lot of time with my grandfather. He's so old-fashioned and modern at the same time. He's completely obsessed with clothes and he has like three rooms in his house filled with suits, shoes and every kind of clothes that's only used once or never used before! He's more fashion obsessed than I am!!! But he's always hearing jazz and has this really weird habits. : D  But he's really cool... haha

The next day I'll be buying stuff for school before going on vacation. I already want to be here...
