This night I´ve been listening to this swedish group Mando Diao and they come from Stockholm. From the few songs that I've heard they are awesome! and they also release songs in english so they're a bit more approacheable than other swedish bands!!! They have such a great sound! Listen to them if you want.
Then there is the band "die Toten Hosen" that I've also been listening to but compared to Mando Diao they seem more heavy because they are german rock after all. But they also have a great sound!
