I'm so bored! That sounds so typical teenager... but it's not that I'm really bored, it's just that I'm really scared to run out of things to do because then I only have my thoughts as company and I don't really like what they're telling me. They're telling me that I'm sick of the way I'm living my life because I'm not really living. Certainly my life right now is not what I wished that it would be, I guess it's time to figure out a way to fix it. But sometimes reality is tough.
whatever, here's a cool song

The Gamer
Ok I couldn't help myself, here's another great recommendation but this time it's not a movie but a webtoon! It's called The Gamer and it's about a boy that one day suddenly finds out that his life has become a game. Suddenly he starts to improve his own character just like he would in a game by gaining exp points and passing to the next level. And by improving his character he becomes smarter, stronger or more lucky. Of course he encounters enemies and I'm not a fan of the fight scenes, but what I really like is his train of thought of how we will deal with his new reality. It was so good that it brought me out of the funk I was in so you know it's great.
You can read it in english translated by MangaCow or Line Webtoons. I like the Line translations better but MangaCow has translated more chapters so I guess you could mix it up.

Vitus (2006)
Ok, so I've been watching old movies lately, and maybe this one isn't all that old, after all it came out in 2006. It's called Vitus and basically it's about a boy genius. Since he was small he was recognized as a piano prodigy, but he struggles with the pressure imposed by his parents. I really enjoyed the classic music throughout the movie but the most important part is that it truly was entertaining. And you know how hard it is for me lately to find a good movie so obviously this was a great find and I even watched it twice! So if you find yourself with nothing to do in a rainy afternoon then this is a great recommendation!

Beginnings
I'm weird sometimes... maybe all the time. One of the weird things I do is that when I watch movies or read books I really love the beginning. I can't explain why I like beginnings so much, maybe is the excitement of something new, or the curiosity to know how a society works, maybe getting to know a new place, or simply getting to know how a particular person thinks. I also like to know what problem the main character is facing, but however when the problem actually begins I quickly get bored and uninterested. Maybe this reflects something about me, like how I don't like to face problems in everyday life. Or how when I already know what will happen because the story is so predictable I start to give zero fucks. So unless a story is truly interesting I'll continue to leave movies unfinished and finish books after a long time.
After that weird rant I'll leave some cool music for you.

New Directions and New Webtoons
I have begun doing new things, for example reading korean webtoons. This started out of necessity, because in my very stressful life lately I don't even have time to sleep anymore, so instead of watching anime or reading long manga chapters, I found out that reading webtoons is so much more quickly but still entertaining. Of course I have been reading webtoons for a long time, but lately they are the only things that I read daily.
And another factor is that now they are even easier to read. With the new Line app from Naver (a popular korean website where you can normally read webtoons) it's very easy and comfortable to read and keep track of all the things I'm reading at the same time. For example, it remembers the number of the chapter you stopped reading in, or it gives you a notification when a new chapter is out. Maybe the translations aren't perfect, but they're good enough that I don't need to complain. And in a busy day I can take less than five minutes reading the latest chapter in my phone while I'm having breakfast. In short is perfect, and the even better part is that there are many series coming out all the time so there's something always new to read.
So if you want to give this webtoon thing a go I'll give you a few recommendations first so you can be tempted to start.
If you like romance stuff there's Cheese in the Trap, that it's about the daily life of a college girl, and her many dilemmas with annoying people and the mysterious but handsome Jung.
If you like action stuff there's Tower of God, it's the classic shounen story so I hadn't wanted to read it before but I took a leap, and boy I'm so not disappointed! It's about a boy called Bam that while chasing his friend Rachel enters a tower, and in order to reunite with her has to go through many tests to go up each level of the tower. But what I liked it's that is not just only fighting, it has a lot of psychological stuff in each test and the characters are smart and funny.
And if you like horror stuff and zombies, then Dead Days is the webtoon for you. It's the classic zombie story where suddenly everybody in the world is infected, and the story is basically about how this pair of kids survives. But what really gets me is the art, because it's so well done that you feel like you're watching a movie and I wouldn't be surprised if you jump scared or gag while reading this one. It's very realistic.
So that's it, it was really hard to pick my favorite ones to talk about, so maybe I'll write another post about the ones missing.

Mashup-Germany
It seems like my blog has become a music blog, and I like it. Sometimes it's easier to talk about stuff you love, like music, instead of talking about the hard stuff. And currently I'm in denial mode.
So today I want to share with you the songs I'm currently obsessed with. They are by a german DJ who goes by the name Mahsup-Germany, his real name is Ben Stiller, and his music is absolutely flawless. For those of you who don't know what a mashup is, it's a song that mixes vocals or beats from various songs to create something entirely new and just perfect. It's like they take the best part of various songs and create something that is out of this world. But from all the mashup artists that have emerged in the past years Mashup-Germany is my absolute favorite.
At this point I better shut up and let you listen to this perfect tracks. You're welcome!
I wish I could see him live but I would have to travel aaaaaall the way to Germany! But you can check him out in:

Teenage Life???
Ok, my life has taken a strange turn lately, very strange! Mainly it's been full of contradictions and awkward moments. Like rejecting pitiful guys and then feeling like a bitch. But then when I feel like I went straight back to high school, I'm faced with serious adult decisions. Like participating in doctorate level investigations, or directing very serious organizations. But at the same time I don't feel very adult when in business messages I use smiley faces or a lot of lol's. haha
Ok, I better give you a break of hearing about my awkward life. Here are some songs I've been loving lately. You are welcome!

Saga | Brian K. Vaughan
I promised I would tell you what I've been reading lately, so here it is! haha
So I haven't been feeling like reading books, maybe because all the books lately are shit, or they seem shit to me, I don't know.... So I decided to read this graphic novel I've been admiring from afar for some time now. This graphic novel, or comic whatever you want to call it, is called Saga by author Brian K. Vaughan who has written a lot of good comics.
And basically it's about two warriors that are enemies in an intergalactic war, but they fall in love and have a baby. And then everybody is pursuing them and their child. The story is told by Hazel, their baby, and it's absolutely magical. The drawings are amazing and the characters are so lovable, even the bad guy.
Honestly it was my first comic so I didn't know what to expect, but I was absolutely blown away. From the very first page I couldn't take my eyes away, it was so unusual but captivating at the same time. And when I reached the latest chapter, I couldn't stand to wait so I started reading Runaways from the same author which is also good, although not as good as Saga. I think I'll continue reading comics for now haha.

Twenty One Pilots
II don't know if you watched this year's MTV Movie Awards, but one of my favorite bands played. If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, it's about this band called Twenty One Pilots.
They are a bit different from the norm, they are like alternative rock but not really. Because they combine like poetic lyrics that sometimes are just like "spoken", and then suddenly they are screamed. I found them by listening to La Dispute that also has this reaaally poetic lyrics. But I guess the amazing thing is the feeling with which they sing the lyrics, it just gives you shivers. And then ther's also their great rhythm and instrumental ability.
But instead of trying to explain, I'll just share with you some of my favorite songs and you can decide by yourself whether you like them or not.

22 vrs. Mary Jane Holland | Medicine (Sound Remedy Remix)
OOk, It seems that music recommendations are easier to write for me, so I'll stick to that for now. haha After all, it's better to write about something that makes you passionate, and right now music is the only thing that makes me passionate. And I know that is kinda sad, but it's best if I don't constantly share my sadness with you.
So lately I've been listening to a lot of mashups on 8tracks and soundcloud, so I've found a lot of unknown but good songs. And due to that my first recommendation is something I found on Soundcloud. It's a remix made by Sound Remedy from the song Medicine by Daughter, and it's pure gold!
The beat is really chill, but instead of making you sleep it just takes you to heaven. I know I sound like I'm on drugs, but really it's amazing, and when the beat drops around 1:50 it's just pure ecstasy. You can check out Sound Remedy's soundcloud account HERE!
And then my second recommendation it's also a mashup made by MashFox, you can check out the youtube account HERE! And the song is a mix of 22 by Taylor Swift and Mary Jane Holland by Lady Gaga. And it's sooooo good. I mean both songs are good, but when they are together they're amazing!
